2. A non-tropical area of low pressure with gale-force winds is located
about 150 miles north of Bermuda and is moving south-southeastward
at about 15 mph. Although there are some signs of organization, dry
air and strong upper-level winds are expected to limit development
of this system over the next couple of days. However, conditions
could become a bit more conducive for this low to gradually acquire
some tropical characteristics early next week as the low moves south
and then drifts westward to the southwest of Bermuda.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
Issued by the NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD
800 AM EDT Fri Sep 21 2018

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located
about 600 miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands are showing some
signs of organization. The environment is forecast to be conducive
for slow development, and a tropical depression could form early
next week while the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph across the
low latitudes of the eastern and central tropical Atlantic Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

2. A weak low pressure area located about 600 miles east of the
Windward Islands is producing disorganized showers and
thunderstorms. The combination of dry mid-level air and strong
upper-level winds is expected to hinder any further development of
this low while it moves west-northwestward at around 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.

3. A broad area of low pressure located just southeast of Bermuda is
producing minimal shower activity while it moves southward at 10 to
15 mph. Although a combination of dry air and strong upper-level
winds is expected to inhibit any significant development over the
next few days, the environment could become conducive for slow
development when the system moves over the southwest Atlantic Ocean
during the middle part of next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

4. A non-tropical low pressure system is forecast to develop tonight
over the central subtropical Atlantic Ocean midway between Bermuda
and the Azores.  Conditions are expected to be conducive for the low
to acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics, and a
subtropical or tropical cyclone is expected to form late this
weekend or early next week while the low meanders over the central
Atlantic Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A low pressure system, associated with a tropical wave, is located
about 600 miles south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands.
Although the showers and thunderstorms have decreased this
afternoon, this system is still showing signs of organization. The
environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for slow
development, and a tropical depression could form early next week
while the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph across the
low latitudes of the eastern and central tropical Atlantic Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

2. A weak low pressure area located about 500 miles east of the
Windward Islands is producing disorganized showers and
thunderstorms to the east of the center.  Strong upper-level winds
and dry air should prevent significant development of this system
while it moves west-northwestward at around 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.

3. A broad area of low pressure located about 100 miles southeast
of Bermuda is producing minimal shower activity.  Development of
this system is not expected during the next couple of days due to
dry air and strong upper-level winds.  However, environmental
conditions could become more conducive for slow development when the
system moves over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean during the early
and middle part of next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

4. A non-tropical low pressure system is forecast to develop tonight
or on Saturday over the central subtropical Atlantic Ocean midway
between Bermuda and the Azores.  Conditions are expected to be
conducive for the low to acquire subtropical or tropical
characteristics, and a subtropical or tropical cyclone is likely
to form late this weekend or early next week while the low meanders
over the central Atlantic Ocean.

Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
200 AM EDT Sat Sep 22 2018

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly formed
Tropical Depression Eleven, located about 500 miles east of the
Windward Islands.

1. Showers and thunderstorms have been increasing since last evening
near the center of a low pressure system located about 550 miles
south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands.  Environmental
conditions appear conducive for further development of this system,
and a tropical depression could form during the next day or two
while the low moves westward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean at
about 20 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

2. A broad area of low pressure located about 200 miles south of
Bermuda is producing minimal shower activity.  Strong upper-level
winds are expected to diminish by late this weekend or early next
week, possibly allowing for some slow development of this system
while it moves westward and then northwestward over the
southwestern Atlantic Ocean.  By the middle of next week,
upper-level winds are likely to strengthen again, which would limit
development as the system moves closer to the southeastern coast of
the United States.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

3. A non-tropical low pressure system is forming along a frontal
boundary about 850 miles west-southwest of the Azores.  Conditions
are expected to be conducive for the low to acquire subtropical or
tropical characteristics, and a subtropical or tropical cyclone is
likely to form early next week while the low meanders over the
central Atlantic Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.

Public Advisories on Tropical Depression Eleven are issued under WMO
header WTNT31 KNHC and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.

Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
200 AM EDT Sun Sep 23 2018

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Depression Eleven, located several hundred miles east of the
Windward Islands, and on Tropical Storm Kirk, located several
hundred miles south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.

1. A broad area of low pressure located about 300 miles south-southwest
of Bermuda continues to produce limited shower and thunderstorm
activity.  Although strong upper-level winds currently affecting the
system are expected to diminish later today and could allow for some
development during the next couple of days, the low will continue
to be embedded in a very dry environment while it moves westward
and west-northwestward at about 10 mph over the southwestern
Atlantic Ocean.  By Tuesday or Wednesday, upper-level winds are
forecast to strengthen again, likely limiting additional development
as the system turns northward and moves by the southeastern coast of
the United States.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

2. The evolution of a complex weather system over the central Atlantic
Ocean could lead to two separate episodes of subtropical or
tropical development during the upcoming week.  First, a
non-tropical low pressure system currently located about 1000 miles
west-southwest of the Azores is producing gale-force winds with
some associated showers and thunderstorms.  Conditions appear
conducive for this system to acquire some subtropical or tropical
characteristics during the next day or so while meandering over the
central Atlantic Ocean, and the low could become a subtropical or
tropical cyclone before it is overtaken and absorbed by a cold front
late Tuesday or Wednesday.  Additional information on this system
can be found in High Seas Forecasts issued by the National Weather
Service.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

3. A second non-tropical low pressure system is expected to form
along the central Atlantic cold front by Wednesday several hundred
miles west of the Azores.  Conditions appear conducive for this
system to also acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics by
the latter part of this week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

Storm Kirk, located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo
Verde Islands, and on Subtropical Storm Leslie located more than
1000 miles west of the Azores.

1. A broad area of low pressure located about 375 miles southwest of
Bermuda continues to produce limited shower and thunderstorm
activity.  Environmental conditions are forecast to become a little
more conducive for development during the next couple of days while
the system moves slowly west-northwestward to northwestward over
the southwestern Atlantic. The low is forecast to turn northward
by Tuesday night, and pass near the southeastern United States coast
on Wednesday.  After that time, upper-level winds are forecast to
become less favorable while the low begins to move northeastward,
away from the east coast of the United States.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

2. A non-tropical low pressure system is expected to form north of

200 AM EDT Wed Sep 26 2018

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A weak low pressure system located about 100 miles south-southwest
of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, is producing disorganized shower
activity, mainly to the east of the center. Strong upper-level winds
are expected to increase further over the system today, and the
chances for tropical cyclone formation are decreasing.  The low is
forecast to move north-northeastward along or near the North
Carolina coast later this morning, and it could produce scattered
showers and dangerous surf and rip currents across eastern North
Carolina as it passes by. The low is expected to move northeastward
and merge with a frontal system or dissipate offshore of the New
England coast on Thursday. For more information, please see products
from your local National Weather Service office.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

2. Thunderstorm activity has increased and become better organized in
association with the remnants of Kirk located about 650 miles east
of the Windward Islands. Recent satellite-derived wind data also
indicate that the circulation has become better defined and that the
winds have increased. If this development trend continues, then
advisories will be re-initiated on this system later this morning.
Interests in the Windward and Leeward Islands should monitor the
progress of this disturbance. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance
aircraft is schedule to investigate this disturbance later today.
For more information on this system, see High Seas Forecasts issued
by the National Weather Service.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.

3. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie centered about 850 miles west-southwest
of the Azores is producing disorganized shower activity and
gale-force winds.  Leslie is expected to reacquire subtropical or
tropical characteristics on Thursday or Friday while the cyclone
meanders over the north-central Atlantic.  For more information on
this system, see High Seas Forecasts issued by the National Weather
Service.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.
